bachelor’s button

silken ribbons leave legacy of escaped gasps, illicit sighs, forbidden touch

the binding marks, a guarded trophy never put on display.
beneath complaints of business demands, desire begins
to simmer.

what remains…
wet sheets
lipstick stained collars
and the bachelor’s button.
